Sydney siege: let’s harness the power of meditation and prayer – a free guided meditation to share

You may or may not have read of the Maharishi effect. This describes the collective power of meditation, which when done en masse has been shown to affect crime rates, suicide rates, car accidents, attacks, homicide and violent crime.I urge you to take some time to meditate or pray today so that we might harness this effect for the innocent people held hostage today in Martin Place – the scene of the Sydney Siege.

Watching the footage of the unfolding drama and tragedy I felt shocked and helpless.  I decided that I could choose to feel differently, and instead harness collective positive energy to send to the victims and their families.

I have recorded a 23 minute meditation, for those of you who would like to follow a guided meditation. This meditation is specifically focused on sending peace and safety to the people inside the cafe of the Sydney Siege. Please note there is no background music and it is not a professional studio recording, but was done in a timely way to get it out there as soon as possible.
